Atlanta requested 2 eng, 2 ladders and TFL to assist backfill due to 3rd alarm assignment to a MARTA train on fire in a tunnel with 250 passengers onboard. All were safely evacuated and fire was extinguished. Backfill units returned to service.

Charlton Co requests 45 engines for structural protection due to 140,000 acre wildfire coming out of the Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge.
Town of St George faced with massive evacuations.
Staging located at St.George School on Hwy 121.
Multiple units responded through the EMA system.
Assets currently deployed through GMAG include:
Sumter Co-1 eng and 1 pumper/tender,
Social Circle-1 eng,
Twin City-1 eng,
Putnam Co-1 eng, and
Bulloch Co-2 engs, 2 brush trucks, 2 tenders and a Task Force Leader.
Several agencies standing by for further.
The quarterly statewide meeting will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017, beginning at 9 am, at the Marriott Riverfront, Savannah GA, in conjunction with the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs (GAFC) Conference.
