IMPORTANT INFO: PTS DIALER MOBILE APP

From: DHS Priority Telecommunications Service Center <support@priority-info.com>
Date: Mon, Sep 27, 2021
Subject: GETS/WPS Notification: Changes to PTS Dialer Support for Android 5, 6, and 7

Dear GETS/WPS POC,

Please note two important items related to the PTS Dialer mobile app:

  1. The PTS Dialer will no longer support Android OS 5, 6, or 7 because Google has stopped applying security updates to these Android versions. It is generally recommended not to use an Android device with these operating systems. Going forward, the PTS Dialer will support Android 8.1 and above. Find your Android version on most devices by going to Settings -> About phone -> Android version.
  2. The GETS/WPS Dialer is an older app that has been retired, so any users that still have it are strongly advised to install the new PTS Dialer app. After installing the PTS Dialer, you may need to move your GETS PIN from the “Settings” in the GETS/WPS Dialer over to the “Settings” in the PTS Dialer. Then, make a test call with the PTS Dialer to ensure that you have service. Once you have successfully made a test call, it is advised that you uninstall the GETS/WPS Dialer.

If you have any questions about this change, please contact the Priority Telecommunications Service Center at 866-627-2255, 703-676-2255, or support@priority-info.com.
